What’s on
Killearn Village Hall is a thriving, bustling hive of activity.
We have meetings, clubs and classes every weekday, and there are regular monthly events and annual events too.
You can book any of our rooms for an hour, a day, every week, once a month, or once a year!

We also have some permanent interactive display areas, such as the Killearn Heritage Trail, a Seed Library and a library of books for lending.
Monday Club

The Monday Club for ladies meets from September through to March.

There are weekly Badminton, Pickleball and Bridge sessions. (Badminton till 3pm then Pickleball till 4.30pm.) Some prior knowledge is helpful as these are not teaching clubs.

There is a waiting list to join the Bridge section at present – please contact us for details.

Social meetings, or ‘Big Mondays’ take place on the last Monday of the month, with a speaker and afternoon tea.

Apart from the physical exercise of the badminton and the mental exercise of the bridge, the main ethos of the Monday Club has always been friendship. If there was a motto for the club, it might well be "people need people".

Little Library
Killearn’s Little Library is open! There is a bookcase filled with books in the Village Hall, please pop along and take a book or drop off any donations.

Seed Library
The G63 Seed Library distributes packets of vegetable and flower seeds across seven villages. The seeds are free to the community with the aim of encouraging villagers to grow food in their garden and enjoy all the benefits of home-grown, local produce. If you’d like to grow some food this year, take some seeds and join the G63 Food Growers group on Facebook!

Glass cabinets next to the café display a fraction of the large collection of items that relates to the history of Killearn.

Display area downstairs
Two large village needlework items form the centrepiece on display by the lower lift access. They show views of well-known features in the Killearn area and are the work of members and friends of local organisations. It is a genuine community effort, the youngest stitchers being in Primary 1 and the oldest over 80 years. Other items are displayed in the entrance area and lower floor.
